The Yoga Meditation Group is a non-profit organization in Austin Texas dedicated to teaching yoga in all its aspects to all ages. Our classes are free or at low cost. Our teachers volunteer their time.
Yoga Meditation is a simple, enjoyable technique to calm and focus the mind and find fulfillment within. Classes are available for all ages, and they are always free. Introductory classes are available by request, and ongoing classes meet weekly at various locations (usually NW Austin), and we can also come to you. Click here for schedule and information.
Yoga Exercise is one of the oldest and most complete forms of exercise for keeping the body fit and healthy. It has the added benefits of calming and focusing the mind, relaxing the body, and preparing one for meditation or spiritual inquiry. Our classes are gentle and respectful to the body while also providing the challenge each student needs tailored to his or her condition and ability. Yoga Diet & Lifestyle classes are given by email (and in person by request). They are designed to give you the information you need to change and improve your diet and other lifestyle habits to give you more control over your health and well-being. Following a yoga diet will also support your yoga and meditation practices. Classes by email are offered free of charge. (Classes in person will require a fee to cover any overhead costs.)
School Programs are available by request in Yoga Meditation, Yoga Exercise, and Yoga Diet for all age groups (kindergarten through university). We have taught a variety of classes for schools, including Yoga Exercise and Relaxation, Meditation Practice and Philosophy, and Yoga for Peace.
